Anti iran war protest fills DC streets, elevated security posture in nation’s capital
Hundreds of people took to the streets across the D.C. region this weekend, some thanking President Donald Trump for the strikes in Iran and others protesting the escalating military campaign as U.S.
Demonstrators were outside hotel in Washington demanding the release of political prisoners in Azerbaijan
The protest near the White House was among the demonstrations that erupted across the country after Israel and the United States launched strikes on Iran.
The demonstration at the Lincoln Memorial was the latest in a string of school walkouts across the country, which have resulted in arrests and condemnation from some officials, and plaudits from others.
Several members of the Congressional Black Caucus are skipping the primetime remarks entirely, while others will protest in other ways.
Organizers said more than 1,000 students gathered at the Lincoln Memorial. Among the signs they held, one read, “We skipped our lessons to teach you one.”
